Meet Mr. Miguel Briseno

Now retired from U.S.  Government service, Miguel Briseno  operates the Tinaja Alta Trading Company on a full time basis. Mr. Briseno  also continues being affiliated with the Deming Literacy Center, is Chairman of the Deming Historic Landmark Commission. Mr. Briseno continues to take time out for his long distance rifle shooting activities (longest shot to date was the white buffalo target located at the NRA Whittington Center at 1,123 yards!).

Shooting the white buffalo target at the NRA Whittington Center.

Chatting with Darrell “Hawk” Hawkins, former barber, and prior owner of the building which now houses the Tinaja Alta Trading Co

Comparing notes with former Sheriff of Luna County Jack Coussons.

Visiting with Ret. Gen. Bud Strom(now rancher and cowboy poet)about their lives in the Army.

When he is not busy selling or buying things or doing some sort of historic  research for the same or simply reading about some historical figure he finds things to do that he feels are worthwhile.  Like…refurbishing and rededicating the monument to the first Deming soldier killed in WWI, Claude Close Howard.  Here he is with Dave Close and Mike Ochoa who provided lots of man hours cleaning the monument, the plaque and providing and installing the picture.
